About Us
The Investigations Workshops for Transforming Mathematics project at TERC offers the only professional development created by the authors of the Investigations in Number, Data and Space® curriculum.
We have been offering workshops since 1997 and have reached nearly 20,000 teachers in thirty states across the country. We have worked with large urban districts, such as Wichita, KS, Detroit, MI and New York City, NY, and smaller districts and rural communities including Livermore, ME and Uvalde, TX.
Through our contact with such a large variety of schools and districts, all at different stages in their implementation of Investigations, we have learned that the schools with the most success are the ones that provide substantial professional development support for their teachers.
Our workshops are designed to help teachers, leaders, and administrators understand the mathematics content and pedagogy of Investigations and translate them into action in their own schools.
